The seminar aims to provide an overview of local food production, and also a presentation of the activities carried out by the Agro-Food Park of San Daniele.
Beauties, traditions, landscapes and delicacies will be thoroughly illustrated, with a special attention given to the “sensory side” of the Park. The crucial location of the Park, in a landscape shaped by mountains and crystalline waters, hills and flatland, offers a rich variety of traditional delicacies to the palate: premium Dop-DPO (Designation of Protected Origin) specialties, like the renowned prosciutto made in San Daniele and the Montasio cheese with three different ageing; several types of Latteria cheese, the sweet Picolit white wine and the celebrated wines of the Friuli-Grave Doc (registered designation of origin), an area of excellent native wines; cuts of cured pork, which have always been a mainstay in country life; excellent beef meet, honey, grappa and bakery products; the fine extra virgin olive oil, the garlic of Resia and trouts with a “perfectly balanced taste”.
