Sylva-Van Hulle - Growing trees and hedging for a greener Europe

Sylva-Van Hulle

The Sylva tree nursery in Waarschoot is one of the most prominent tree nurseries in Flanders. The nursery has a long tradition reaching back to 1750, when the Van Hulle family was already growing shrubs and forest trees for the local forests that were being planted out. This tradition has been sustained by our family and business for 7 generations now. Every year, our 80 hectares of nursery space produces about 25 million trees, of which more than 85% are exported to all the EU countries and some countries outside Europe, such as China, United States, Canada.

Since 1997 the nursery was awarded the MPS/ VMS A-label for environmental friendly production. On the 25th of August 2009 Sylva is elected winner of the ‘Belgian Horticulturist of the Year 2009’ contest.
By winning the contest, Sylva represented Belgium on the first contest ‘International Grower of the Year’. On 15 September 2009 Sylva is awarded ‘International Grower of the Year 2009’ in Zaragoza.

We offer a full range of tree nursery products grown in open ground and in containers and plugs.
