Zorzettig, a name linked to the wine activity for generations in Friuli. Once farmers then owners of lands, until the three brothers, Livio, Francesco and Giuseppe, who founded in the mid-eighties three companies, continuing separately the initial common path in the world of wine. Giuseppe gave his name to the company ZORZETTIG of Zorzettig Cav. Giuseppe, who lies on the hills of Spessa, a few kilometers from Cividale, UNESCO heritage town in the heart of the Eastern Hills of Friuli. The passion and energy of Giuseppe and Antonietta, wife and mother as well as tireless cornerstone of the company, were transmitted to the sons Roberto, Annalisa and Alessandro, along with the desire to continue along the path of love for the land.
Many innovations have been introduced in recent years, from innovative winemaking techniques to modern equipment, all characterized by respect for traditional values and constant aspiration to quality. The untimely death of Roberto, who used to guide the technical choices of the company, left the witness in the hands of Alessandro, who manage the agronomic part, and Annalisa, who manage the production and sales network. The support "in the cellar" is guaranteed by Fabio Coser.
The Zorzettig wines, result of selected grapes from the vineyards harvested by hand, are vinified and aged in the ancient underground cellar and in the adjacent barrel. The production of DOC-Friuli-eastern-hills wines, white and red from local and international grape varieties, is about eight hundred thousand bottles a year.
