District county Konstanz - Business development

The business development of the district county Konstanz supports and advises resident companies and investors in settlement projects. It provides important contacts with the municipalities, chambers of commerce, universities, employment agencies and other relevant institutions in the context of business development. It also provides advice to start-ups. In the field of investment services companies can find the matching commercial space with a commercial real estate platform in the county. The information and advising of companies on funding by the European Union, the Federal Republic of Germany and the State of Baden-Württemberg is also offered by the business development. Beside this the administrative department business development is the contact person in all tourism-specific matters on district level.

On 5th July 2012 a regional alliance on the issue of skilled workers was sealed in the district Konstanz which has set itself the objective to actively participate in all fields of action for securing skilled workers on the level of the State of Baden-Württemberg. At the beginning the topics ‘strengthening vocational training’, ‘increasing employment of older workers’, ‘selective immigration’ and ‘ increasing employment of women’ are in focus. The alliance shall bundle existing and future actions and make them transparent. In spring 2013 a regional coordinating body was established at the administrative department business development to act as an interface between the partners of the alliance on the issue of skilled workers and companies. The regional coordinating body shall also coordinate and bundle actions for securing skilled workers in small and medium-sized companies. The project is supported by the Ministry of Finance and Economy through budgets of the European Social Fund and of the Ministry of Finance and Economy itself.
