Sonett OHG

SONETT has been a pioneer in organic washing powders and cleansers since 1977. The SONETT products are now available in almost all European countries. Demand is also steadily increasing in non-European countries. Our company headquarters are in Deggenhausertal, near to Lake Constance. Approximately 90% of the SONETT products are sold via the health food trade. SONETT currently has 42 employees and is growing continuously.

Our corporate philosophy and quality concept is based on anthroposophic spiritual science:

1. Dynamized ingredients

Due to our responsibility for the renaturation of waste water, we add rhythmical substances to SONETT washing powders and cleansers in the oloid mixer, and we work with process water which is vortexed in 12 egg-shaped glass vessels.

2. Selection of the raw materials used
All of the ingredients we use are completely biodegradable and non-allergenic. We primarily use herbal and mineral raw materials. This means that they are free of enzymes, petro-chemical surfactants, fragrances, colourings, preservatives, bleach activators, etc.

3. Raw materials from controlled biodynamic and organic cultivation
100% of the olive oil, canola oil, coconut oil and shea butter we use originate from controlled organic cultivation, as do around 95% of our essential oils.

4. Sources of energy
Half of the electricity we consume comes from GREENPEACE ENERGY and the other half from a small hydroelectric plant in our closest neighbourhood. We share a woodchips heating system with the Camphill Workshops Lehenhof.

Certified ecological quality
The entire assortment is certified fulfilling the criteria set by ECOGARANTIE and ECOCONTROL. SONETT has been certified as a 'climate-friendly enterprise in accordance with the STOP CLIMATE CHANGE Standard CO2'. We are especially proud of the fact to have won the red dot design award 2012 for our 'up-to-date, smart and trend-setting design.

The legal form of SONETT is threefold
SONETT OHG has 3 general partners and operates the actual business – the development, manufacturing and sale of organic washing powders and cleansers.

SONETT VERMÖGENSVERWALTUNG GMBH is the owner of our properties, building and mechanical installations, which it leases to SONETT OHG.

The non-profit-making SONETT FOUNDATION is the sole owner of SONETT VERMÖGENSVERWALTUNG GMBH. The SONETT FOUNDATION promotes not-for-profit initiatives, e.g. in the field of water research, the development of alternative test methods to animal experimentation and training in the field of research into formative forces.
 
Due to this structure, the SONETT enterprise is no longer privately owned, and may no longer be inherited or sold. This offers the requirement and opportunity for SONETT to always be looked after and managed by those who are capable of doing so, people who embody the spirit expressed by the SONETT motto:
