Cortina Shoes

The Cortina company is an international, family-owned business that was founded in the early fifties in Oudenaarde, Belgium.

In 1990, not only the passion for shoes grew, but also the company expanded, being one of the first companies investing in a production unit in China.

With over 2.500 styles developed every year according to the latest fashion and trends and with a good mix of bestsellers and classics, the Cortina Group now plays a leading role in worldwide shoe business, selling more than 30 million pairs each year.

Next to a private label collection of over 2.500 styles each year, the Cortina Group also offers a wide variety of licensed footwear and apparel and has its own brands.

Safety Jogger, the brand for high-quality safety shoes and gloves for both men and women, was founded in 2001. Thanks to over fifty years of experience in product development and shoe knowledge, Safety Jogger soon became an international brand, renowned for its trendy look and price/quality combination.

In 2007, Cortina and Leomil announced a global co-operation between their companies with the creation of Leomil NV, a company specialized in licensed footwear. The alliance has now become the major force in European markets for licensed footwear and apparel and is growing worldwide every day.

At the end of 2008, the Cortina Group takes over the originally French brand Patrick, the brand with the 2 stripes. Patrick, l’esprit du sport, offers an impressive Teamwear and Cycling collection.

Oxypas, the brand for healthcare professionals, was founded in 1991. Offering a full range of footwear adapted to the needs of medical and paramedical staff. Since July 2013, Oxypas is also part of the Cortina group.

Expect more than shoes

In 2013, the Cortina Group centralized its shoe knowledge in a new headquarters in Dongguang, China, creating a new and unique concept: the Chain of Shoe Knowledge. It’s a one-stop solution through which all stakeholders can focus on what they do best:

• Our people can focus on their own development and skills

Logistics
The cortina group owns its own logistics department with 2 warehouses in China (around 50.000 square meters)  and 3 in Belgium (around 100.000 square meters).
From China we ship worldwide on a Fob basis.
For Europe all goods come first from the far east by container (around 4000 TEU) to Belgium from where we deliver our European customers on a Dap basis.
We can handle shipment from 1 pair (e-commerce) up to a full load truck.
