Mighty Box is a game development studio with a primary focus to produce indie games for the international market. Apart from creating their own titles, they also do commissioned work in the form of advergames, music games and apps. The team’s extensive experience in multimedia design and production allows them to develop an idea from a concept to a finished game, app or other multimedia product.Mighty Box aims to make games that break new ground and give players novel experiences, whether the novelty arises from game mechanics, controls, narrative or aesthetics.

Mighty Box first started as a partnership in November 2011 with the release of their first game, Will Love Tear Us Apart?  in May 2013. It was a videogame adaptation of British band Joy Division’s song Love Will Tear Us Apart. It was received with acclaim worldwide, and was nominated for awards in innovation at the Montreal Film Festival (2013), SXSW (2014) and the Webby Awards (2014).MightyBox became incorporated and started to operate at the TakeOFF Business Incubation Centre in April 2014, and started to work on a tabletopboardgame called Posthuman. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic near future and it was an immediate success on Kickstarter where it got funded overnight and was subsequently released in December 2015.  The company is in the process of adapting Posthuman into its digital counterpart, Posthuman: Sanctuary, which is planned to be released towards December 2016 on Windows, MacOS and Linux.
