CFIQ

CFIQ is a consortium of 60 bodies representing the local socio-economic context. Located in Pinerolo, a little city nearby Turin, CFIQ started its activities in 1996 as a Vocational Training Organization. CFIQ employs about 30 people under a full-time contract and co-operates with a wide number of freelancers and independent contractors/consultants. Its activities, aiming also at developing training proposals attentive to the needs of the territory in which it operates and the labour market that characterizes it, are mainly based on the regional plans for training and the main target groups to which training is addressed are: young people (professional courses to qualify them for the labour market), adult learners (lifelong learning activities) and companies (apprenticeship training courses – companies training plans) The main objective of CFIQ is therefore to provide training:
- For the first entry in the labour market.
- For unemployed workers.
- For disadvantaged people.
- For companies and their employees.
- To upgrade the qualification of people with secondary school diploma.
With regards to the companies, CFIQ offers its expertise through a job related plan of activities and services based on both Training and Professional need analysis detection. Vocational Orientation and Skill Assessment are two other main relevant services provided by CFIQ and, within this sector of activity, the key strength of our organization is represented by the networking with local actors (youth information center , public job placement, schools and SMEs). Another aim of CFIQ is to use the funding coming from the local authorities (Regional and European) to provide high quality training services and establish networks of public and private bodies. According to these aims, CFIQ has been involved in several projects aiming at local development throughout education and training. As per rules and regulations of the Piedmont Region, being officially recognized , CFIQ operates according to the required standards in all its three main fields of action: Training, Orientation and Assessment and Job Related Services.
