DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF FILLING MACHINES FOR THE FOOD INDUSTRY
Galdi is a leading international player in the design and construction of filling machines for liquid foods. The company was established over 30 years ago and has since been led by the Candiotto family, today in its second generation.

With a staff of 80, both its Headquarters with the Marketing, Engineering and Purchasing departments and the production premises, where filling machines are built and tested are located in Paese, in the north-east of Italy.
More than 30 years have passed since the first filling machine prototype was made, inspired by Galdino Candiotto’s ingenious determination as a solution to optimise the family dairy milk filling process.

Galdi’s core business is the packaging of gable-top cartons (95%), a segment in which it is the European leader. The rest of its product range includes plastic cup filling machines. Innovation is part of Galdi’s DNA with continuous investments in the professional training of its staff to keep them up-to-date and improve the quality of the service offered to its customers.
Galdi has been working side by side with international packaging giants for over 20 years, through partnership agreements for the research and development of new systems and
machines.
Of particular interest, the company’s UCS (Ultra Clean System) patent was developed in collaboration with the Udine University and allows Galdi machines to fill and sterilise fresh products in a safe and clean environment and thus to extend their shelf-life.

Export sales cover 90% of Galdi’s turnover with the main sales markets being Russia and CIS countries (over 200 installations), Central and Northern Europe, Eastern Europe, the Mediterranean countries and South Africa, in addition to other operations across the ocean
including Mexico, the United States and Australia.

In 2011 the first Galdi Service Center was opened in Moscow to bring Galdi closer to the CIS
area, where it boasts a decisive presence.
Another Service Center was set up in Morocco in 2013 to cover the multi-faceted, challenging needs of North-African territories; in 2015, Galdi extended its borders further and opened a new Service Center in the US to cover the needs of Northern and Central American customers.
In 2016, the company enters in the Shanghai market with a new outpost that opens up trading with the East and promotes sales in South-Asia.

Galdi has been ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 certified for its environmental protection approach both in its everyday business activities and in the design of increasingly
eco-sustainable machines.
Five years ago Galdi embraced the Lean Thinking philosophy and achieved excellent results in reducing possible waste sources, reorganising resources, decreasing delivery times and increasing added value for customers.
