Gdansk Building and Construction Cluster

GKB is a group of companies in Pomorskie Region, mostly representing building and construction sector. It was established in 2007, on the initiative of 18 founding members. It consists of companies that have potential and, most importantly, rich experience in the application of modern construction technologies. Apart from standard industrial and infrastructure construction, one of the major tasks executed by GKB is cubature construction effective in terms of energy, in particular low-energy and passive housing. The goal of cooperation is to create mechanisms ensuring or facilitating access to knowledge, transfer and implementation of the most recent technological accomplishments, reduction in costs of current activities, and, at the same time, achievement of a permanent, above-average increase in competitiveness of the cluster entities.
