SCM Zanussi was born in the late 60's as metalworking company specialized in the design and production of industrial machinery on customer specifications. Working on commission for a leading company in the electromechanical and appliances sector in the area of Pordenone, the SCM Zanussi has gradually switched to plastic and rubber moulds sector. From this starting point the industry has increasingly specialized in the mechanics of moulds up to the strategic decision in the early 80s, to leave the plastic and rubber mould sector and to deal exclusively with the design and production of die-casting aluminium and light alloys moulds.
Currently SCM Zanussi is a leading industry at European and International level within the reference mould makers for automotive industry. It has about 70 employees, has a mainly foreign export market and is considered first-level supplier by leading car manufacturers such as Daimler Mercedes, Volkswagen-Audi Group, GM, BMW, Renault, Volvo, as well as the most important foundries in Europe (Germany , Austria, Holland, France, Spain), and elsewhere (India, Brazil, North America).
The SCM Zanussi designs and manufactures medium and large size molds (up to 90 tons. weight) for light alloy die castings up to 70 Kg: molds for gear boxes, structural parts, oil pans, engine blocks not only for cars, but also for medium and large commercial vehicles.
SCM Zanussi manages company's interaction with the customer from the start: from production development to full design of the mould, from its production to sampling. Thanks to software equipment, state of the art machinery and technological system, the company is able to provide not just the end product but also customer assistance for the management of customer needs in the development of the project in co-design and simultaneous engineering. A department specifically equipped with two die-casting machines (from 2000 ton. Ton and 3500. Clamping force) contributes significantly to configure the SCM Zanussi as a partner capable of managing complex projects which may include the provision of die casting samples, or if necessary pre-series. The aim is to deliver to customers a mould ready for production and relieve them of charges related to fine-tuning of the mould and process parameters optimization.
