IHK Hochrhein-Bodensee

The Chamber of Industry and Commerce of the Upper Rhine-Lake Constance Region represents the interests of its more than 36.000 member companies from industry, commerce and the service sector towards politics and administration. Its district includes the counties of Constance, Waldshut and Lörrach. In company with the holding organization, the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK), around 80 Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Germany, the Association of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Lake Constance Region, the working group of the Upper Rhine Chambers of Industry and Commerce and the 120 German Chambers of Commerce Abroad, the delegation and representative offices in more than 80 countries of the world, we are a partner in an efficient network.

We actively support the economy between the three-country-triangle and the western region of Lake Constance. As a “self-administration of economy” the IHK is responsible for a multitude of governmental tasks. As a result of our regular contacts with authorities and views on topics such as business promotion, urban development, infrastructure, transport and law, we ensure that the interests of our companies are taken into account in all major decisions.

Keeping a close contact with apprentices, the training companies and the vocational schools, we promote qualified education. By providing notarizations and certifications for export the IHK supports the foreign trade activities of the regional economy. We are the contact point for start-up companies, providing consultation on the first steps into self-employment and thus ensuring the growth and the structural change in our region.

Under the brand name “IHK – Die Weiterbildung” (IHK – Advanced training) we qualify practically oriented and uniformly organized at all levels with nationally recognized standards. The Chamber of Industry and Commerce of the Upper Rhine-Lake Constance Region is the contact point for all areas in the region’s economy.
