Malta University Holding Company Ltd (MUHC) was established in July 1996 to act as the commercial arm of the University of Malta.

It operates a range of business lines and has 3 sub-companies – one of which is Malta University Consulting (MUC).

MUC

• operates an English Language School within the Residence that accommodates students;
• organises sports and leisure activities for the students;
• offers Training Courses to the general public and in-house training for companies;
• manages consultancy services and laboratory testing for industry;
• operates a publishing house;
• sells University merchandise.

Malta University Holding Company Ltd also operates and owns a radio-station and a 3-star hotel.
