Odisee (HUB-KAHO) offers to a select group of companies the opportunity to participate in the Logistics Interactive Learning Network (LogILereN): a diverse network, composed of companies operating in very different sectors. This network will focus on themes related to the broad dimension of logistics. The unique composition of the network touches the logistic topics from different angles, so new ideas and solutions can emerge. Because of the different sectors, the competitive aspect is limited to a minimum.

The themes of the sessions are provided by the participants themselves. After an analysis of own needs, problems or interests, the participant formulates several topics. These topics are then matched by Odisee to companies with similar needs, so they can learn from each other.

The Logistics Interactive Learning Network creates the ability to bimonthly come together at one of the participating companies with a limited number of logistical experts. The participants approach the topics from their own practical experiences and share encountered obstacles, pitfalls, solutions and alternatives.

To guarantee a profound level of in-depth discussion, each session includes a focus group, facilitated by Odisee. The open and safe atmosphere allows the participants to thoroughly exchange their issues and ideas on expert level. In addition, the session becomes more practical with a guided tour in the host company, illustrating some of these issues. The guided tour is a crucial aspect of the thematic visit and focuses specifically on the discussed subject(s). The tour allows the visitors to get involved in the current way of working within logistics of the guest company and the related difficulties.

This stimulates an in-depth involvement of the participants. During the tour, participants have the possibility to ask questions and/or to refer to the way of working in their own team. Remarks or arguments can further be discussed during the focus group. Afterwards each participant gets access to a high quality report provided by Odisee.

An unique network?
Definitely yes! Different kind of sectors are taking part in this logistics interactive learning network: Retail, Food, Social sector, Automotive, Harbour, Pharma, Public sector, Transport, …

Practical organisation
Every two months, a thematic session takes place at one of the participating companies. Participating is free but includes a commitment to welcome at least one time the group in the own company. Furthermore, the participating company delegates at least one to two persons to all sessions planned with the learning network. This does not always have to be the same expert. The delegate can be choosen related to the topic.

Every session is attended by some teachers or professors, active in the (logistics) education field of Odisee. This interaction creates benefits for all stakeholders. On the one hand, the experts receive information and feedback from the academic world. On the other hand, the educational institution is up to date with the current needs and expectations in the work field of logistics.
